Rumors are spreading about the late model Kim Jong-seok's sudden death.

Kim Jong-seok (29) passed away suddenly on the 4th and the funeral was held at 8:00am on the 6th at Maru Funeral Hall in Hanam, Gyeonggi Province. The burial site is Chuncheon Ansikwon and Yanggu Bong-an Park. The cause of death has not been officially revealed.

News of Kim Jong-seok's death was first reported through memorial messages from acquaintances. One acquaintance said, "My heart is shattered to hear that you are gone. You were a great gift to us, and I will always cherish you in my heart." Another wrote, "I hope you are in peace there without any pain."

However, rumors are spreading through online communities that Kim Jong-seok was involved in a suicide incident that occurred at an officetel in Hanam, Gyeonggi Province. The incident involved a man in his 20s who committed violence against his girlfriend and then jumped to his death from the roof of a building after he was separated from the girlfriend by police.

Kim Jong-seok's sister took to SNS on the 6th to address the rumors, writing, "We held the funeral in panic due to the sudden news. The family is in great pain as false information is spreading online. We haven't responded until now because we hope that Jong-seok goes to a better place. However, the absurd rumors are spreading more and more, and we can no longer ignore them. We will soon organize and release the recordings of the police and those around him, as well as the last conversations with those involved in the incident. Please stop spreading rumors for the sake of the deceased. We plan to take legal action against malicious posts."

Kim Jong-seok became known through his work as a fashion and beauty model. He especially gained attention through YouTube content for men's cosmetics brand Dashu and his appearance on the tvN dating variety show 'Skip' that aired in 2022.
