“The attention of ARMYs around the world”… BTS Jin joins hands with Baek Jong Won to become a businessman
BTS’s Jin is venturing into the world of business, partnering with renowned celebrity chef Baek Jong Won to launch a liquor brand. This makes Jin the first BTS member to start his own independent business.
The duo jointly invested in establishing the agricultural corporation Yesando which will debut its first product, a distilled liquor called “IGIN” this month. Inspired by Baek’s hometown, Yesan in South Chungcheong Province, IGIN celebrates local flavors. Beyond the distilled version, the brand will offer ready-to-drink options like “IGIN Sweet Tonic” and “IGIN Sour Tonic” made with Yesan’s apples, watermelons, and plums.
Jin and Baek Jong Won laid the groundwork for the project back in December 2022 when they founded Jinny’s Lamp, named after a studio idea Jin once shared with fans. The company handles production, while its distribution is managed by Yesando, an affiliate of Baek Jong Won’s company, The Born Korea. – cr koreaboo
