'The Trauma Code: Heroes on Call' confirms Season 2 and 3 with returning cast


'The Trauma Code: Heroes on Call' is officially coming back for Season 2 and 3.


According to an exclusive report by MyDaily on the 22nd, the Netflix original series 'The Trauma Code: Heroes on Call' is gearing up to begin filming its next seasons this October. The production team is planning to produce both Season 2 and Season 3 simultaneously. Season 2 will consist of 8 episodes in total, with the scripts for the first 4 episodes already finalized.


'The Trauma Code: Heroes on Call' tells the thrilling story of Baek Kanghyuk, a genius trauma surgeon on mission to revive a failing medical center


The upcoming season will take Baek Kanghyuk out of his comfort zone as he travels to regional areas to tackle the high-stakes challenges of rural trauma centers. Fans can breathe a sigh of relief as the lead casts (Ju Jihoon, Choo Youngwoo, Ha Young, and Yoon Kyungho) are all confirmed to return, alongisde a fresh batch of new characters.


Immediately following its release in January 2025, 'The Trauma Code: Heroes on Call' rose straight to No. 1 on Netflix Korea's TOP 10 Series and maintained the top stop for 22 days. It also ranked No. 1 on Netflix's Non-English TV Shows during the fifth week of January. Additionally, it also became the 7th most successful Netflix Korea original series in history just three weeks after its release.


Furthermore, the series also swept trophies at domestic award ceremonies. The lead star Ju Jihoon took home the Best Actor award at both the 61st Baeksang Arts Awards and the 4th Blue Dragon Series Awards, while the series itself secured the Best Drama award at the 4th Blue Dragon Series Awards and the 20th Seoul International Drama Awards.
