Is SM new girl group Hearts2Hearts destined to flop?

Article"Doesn’t it really feel like H2H just won’t make it big??"

The group couldn’t even get a hit with any of their 3 songs, and it feels like they barely stayed afloat just because Ian’s hip dance and Ian’s march went viral. If this new song flops too, it really looks hopeless…

  1. [+120, -69] You say they’ve flopped, but you somehow know all 3 of their songs, Ian’s hip dance, Ian’s march, and everything about H2H ㅠㅠㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ yeah, I don’t think they’re flopping ㅋㅋ bye~
  2. [+114, -43] Honestly, for an SM girl group, they look way too much like a small-agency act. When I saw them cover Red Flavor, I felt like I was watching Momoland or something. Their vocals were tragic, like a middle school dance club trying to sing. Even Ian feels like she’s being forcefully pushed; no matter how I look at it, she doesn’t have the kind of buzz an SM center should have. Has there ever been an SM girl group this ignored?
  3. [+109, -59] For large-member groups to succeed, they need what Girls’ Generation or TWICE had, each member with a distinct charm or personality that stands out. H2H feels kind of bland. They all just seem similar somehow.
  4. [+75, -25] They’re not bad, and they’ll rise eventually, maybe not this year, but still ㅋㅋ. Saying they’ll never make it just shows you don’t know the idol scene at all.
  5. [+72, -30] I hope they feel the full impact of Lee Soo-man’s absence… One-year wonder, huh? Can’t believe they didn’t even last two years. SM probably only held up last year because Lee Soo-man had already prepped all the projects before he left.
  6. [+52, -10] Yuha, A-na, Ian, and Jiwoo are pretty, so it’s fine. If SM gives them better management, their potential could explode.
  7. [+42, -4] For an SM group, they do feel a bit slow to catch on… They got name recognition thanks to the SM brand, but aside from Ian’s hip dance and the airport incident, I don’t know anything else about them.
  8. [+40, -14] I’m just an average office worker with no interest in idols, but they seriously have no buzz. I just don’t care at all.
  9. [+25, -1] Of course that vague “innocent high-teen” concept doesn’t work. It’s not groundbreaking like NewJeans’ high-teen concept, nor is it immersive and world-building like aespa’s. Even aespa was called weird at first, but at least their songs all blew up. Honestly, even being criticized and going viral is better,  indifference is the worst. And they don’t even have standout visuals… It’s just a bunch of pretty, kind-looking influencer-type girls, like a neighborhood dance club.
  10. [+20, -2] No matter how I see it, they’re like a Momoland produced by a big company.
  11. [+17, -1] They don’t have the kind of lineup that can blow up, and there’s no real standout visual either…ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ.
  12. [+17, -0] They’re all way too young; most of them look like they just finished elementary school ╋ plus, the company’s blatantly shoving only the popular members to the front. The whole group just doesn’t feel like a big-agency act.
  13. [+17, -2] I honestly thought Kiiikiii would blow up, but they're turning out about the same as H2H.
  14. [+15, -4] The only thing I remember about H2H is that mess they caused at the airport.
  15. [+15, -0] They’ll probably end up like ITZY or NMIXX, decent mid-tier success at best.
