Netizens and Kpop stans are currently furious because ARMYs are defending Suga from malicious comments made by Kpop stans.
But who is actually harassing who? BTS are being scrutinized by Kpop stans since they debuted because they were one of the first successful idols coming from a small company. They opened many doors for junior artists and are the reason Kpop has moved closer to the western market which most Kpop groups should be grateful for. Through the market expansion many domestically unsuccessful Kpop groups are able to afford their life with international fanbases. BTS also opened the door for international collabs and are still the most successful korean act when it comes to music sales and touring. Not only as a group did BTS show their impact, they also proved it individually with their solo debuts. Jimin and Jungkook have broken many individual records as Kpop solo artists like their Billboard Hot 100 achievements. While Jimin is one of the most demanded Kpop Acts in the USA, Jungkook has released one of the most successful albums ever released by a Kpop act. V is also known to be the ‘idol of idols’ with his charming visuals- he is undoubtedly a trendsetter in the Kpop industry.
